Proponents of tablets: Most teachers and
students support tablets because they are much lighter than print textbooks,
improve standardized test scores, and that digital textbooks are cheaper than
print textbooks. . Using tablets, hundreds of textbooks can be hold, the
environment is saved by lowering the amount of printing, and student
interactivity and creativity are increased.
Opponents of tablets: Tablets are expensive, too distracting for students, easy to break, and costly/time-consuming to fix. Moreover, tablets contribute to eyestrain, headaches, and blurred vision, increase the excuses available for students not doing their homework, require costly Wi-Fi networks, and become quickly outdated as new technologies are released.

Both printed and E-books have positive and negative sides, but with respect to me i still prefer the printed books in education.
ReplyDeleteWell this is some how a difficult question to answer. From my own point of view, I do love printed books; the way they smell, they way it feels when touching the papers, and every thing about them. But after you mentioning this topic, a question ran to my mind: do I feel this way because I've got my education through them?
